ABC Online Concert - Loralee & John
About the event
Our first Online concert is a Double Feature with Open Mic. Up first is the multi talented singer song-writer Loralee McGuirl. Classically trained she is adaptable to many styles and backs herself on keys, guitar or ukulele. She's been part of tribute shows performing characters such as Patsy Cline, Julie Andrews, Cher, Celine Dion and more. Find her album on Spotify and different songs on YouTube. Grab your tickets now for our first online concert.
Our Double Feature is London based John Muirhead, a Canadian Folk Music Award nominated songwriter. With stories and songs that kindle late-night Canadian campfires, John Muirhead’s heartfelt indie-folk sound will move you in more ways than one. From fingerpicked folk confessionals to upbeat roots-rock jams, John’s eclectic song collection reflects the highs and lows of love, ambition, and being a young musician. You can find his music on Spotify and YouTube.
Concerts will continue to start with Open Mic, 3 spots available for each concert. We will be doing concerts every two weeks with each concert being a double feature. Please contact us for details if interested.
Our local talent who are trying to earn their chance (and livelihood) are struggling because all shows, their jobs, have been cancelled; local venues, festivals, theatres and restaurants, aren’t permitted or able to offer live music because of health concerns.
Acoustic Blend Cafe wants to answer the call to continue giving local talent a chance to perform in the spotlight, make a living, and are venturing into facilitating on-line, live concerts! However, we will not be asking for a charitable donation, we will be charging admission as a traditional concert to support our performers.
Our concerts will continue to feature artists local to the Hamilton and Halton Regions, and we may be able to introduce some artists from elsewhere in Canada by having the concert be a double feature. With the concerts being on-line, the audience can come from anywhere, and we would like to take pride and show off more Canadian talent.
